is it possible to somehow take a sound from Scratch, whether it be a sound from the collection or something that was backpacked from another project, and download it as a .mp3 file? I have a few recordings/audios that I would like to take and use on an animation software to properly animate something frame by frame.

Yes. You can export the sound by right clicking on it.

You can right click sprites/sounds/costumes/backdrops/lists, and there will be a button saying “save to local file”/“export”, lists just gives a text file with the items saved so you can import later.

It actually works with any sprite, sound, costume, backpack, and even the entire project. Here’s how to use it.

• For a sound file
If you are in the sound panel, there should be the sound you want to download. Right click it (Hold it on an iPad or iPhone) and then a drop-down menu should appear. If you click the export button, it will save your file, but do not go spam clicking it as it will have a few-second delay.

• For any costume, sprite, or backdrop
Click on the costume, backdrop, or sprite you want to export. Do the same thing you did with the sound panel one I just told about.. Hold on it on mobile and right click on a computer, and press the export button.

• For the project
If you wanna save the project, click on the file button and click “save to your computer”. It may ask you if you want to download, and it will be in the typical .sb3 file. Keep in mind that for downloading projects there is a file limit so your project can’t run as hot as a toaster oven on your laptop and also to save storage space for scratch’s servers.

Hope this helped
