How to post GIFS in discuss scratch?

Upload a .gif file to an image hosting website, then paste that URL into the popup or [img] tags

First, you need a valid image URL. For example, Cubeupload. You can still use Scratch to upload, although the process will be a lot more complicated (See World_Language's tutorial for more information about making animated thumbnails). Thus, using an external image hosting website would be better.

Next, upload it to the image hosting website. Just like any other image. A GIF is still an image, but animated.

Third, copy the link, and post it like any other image with the img tag.

For example, here's a quick GIF I made a while ago:

Not everyone uses browser extensions, especially considering how you're not allowed to mention any specific ones.
Anyway, like everyone else said, CubeUpload supports gifs so you can just upload them like regular images.
