Is an empty “My Blocks” name allowed on Scratch?

What do you mean by “name”? Username? Project name? Forum post title? Studio title?

Well yes, and you can't even have an empty myblock name in the first place

EDIT2: for those curious, just delete any text within the custom block.
actually, yes you can lol
no json edit needed
though it has a few odd quirks (both of which are explained in a comment in the screenshot)

EDIT: Did a bit of experimenting, you can only have one of these, though I think we all know why.

Maybe the half shape is because of a rendering bug as it expects text and that might also be the cause for comments to break. Not being able to rename it I am not sure about.

Interestingly, it doesn't bring console errors as far as I can tell — The editor probably just wasnt expecting <eof> or the empty string.

Well, it does require to remove all text within the custom block and then click ok (and is only one of its kind per project) so probably the text is supposedly returned somewhere in the custom block name, but its getting an <eof> and cannot render the text back, thus no editable textfield;

No, you can create multiple custom blocks with the same name, which also applies with names with blank text. The same name thing was also the case in Scratch 2.0:

They said the 2.0 early dev/3.0 name for More Blocks, so..

Yes you can in Scratch 3.0 (even without empty character).
