it would first ask you for your password, you type it in, then you can change your username, and there would be a text saying “make it anything you want, but be friendly!” idk an idea i had, since i don't like my current username anymore…

Unfortunately, you cannot change your username. There are a few cases where the Scratch Team might change someone's username (e.g. if it's inappropriate, reveals personal information, or causes gender dysphoria), but they usually won't change people's username.

and if you don't like your current name, there just isn't really anything you can do. you chose it, you gotta stick with it

(or make a new account, you probably won't lose that much…)

even then there's a one-in-a-million chance they let you change it.
