Blooket/Gimkit

Anytime I say Blooket/Gimkit, Scratch thinks I'm asking for personal information when it's just better Kahoot's. Why does that happen?

(Sorry my grammar sucks a lot lol)

It's probably because you might be telling someone a code for one of the quizzes or whatever they're called, and it might not be appropriate for Scratch.

Blooket and Gimkit are school-friendly, there is no way that there would be inappropriate things.

“Instead of earning points, students earn virtual currency, which they can ”invest“ during the game to boost their score.” (gimkit)

Someone could make a private quiz (if those exist) with inappropriate stuff in it.

well with that mindset, theoretically any website with user-generated content could potentially be inappropriate

That's true.

The reason you get muted is because you can share private info, links to other websites, and there is no username filter

Which is why most external wbsites with user-generated content aren't allowed to be mentioned.

Just because you haven't been caught yet doesn't mean something is allowed. Gmail links are definitely not allowed.

It hasn't had Discord links on it for a while. (I think they removed them when they made the new look)

It is likely that having a Discord server linked would not make the entire site banned anyways, as cubeupload has Discord links, yet it's allowed to be mentioned. Lots of sites have links to social media on them.

from my knowledge, games like blooket, gimkit, kahoot, and quizizz arent allowed because it can share personal information.

(i don't know if Quizlet live goes into this category of kahoot like games)

You could make a question that contains personal information in it on Quizlet Live the same way you could do it on Blooket, so Quizlet Live would not be allowed.

I got muted because I said “Blooket” once, and I found out in the filter bot forum topic that it's because it advertises its dis-cable server. (I think they took that link off though because teachers understandably didn't like it.)
Never tried Gimkit, Kahoot, Quizlet, or Quizziz. I assume they would be fine because they don't link to anything that's not allowed.

Boo!

It's not because of the Discord links, because Gimkit is also censored and it doesn't link to Discord!
