Hiya! I’m @Catsrpawsome15, though I go by Echo/Cat and use she/her pronouns! I’m your average junior in high school, who enjoys reading, writing, roleplaying, being in nature, spending time with my pets (2 laborer retrievers & 26 barn cats!), and working part-time at the local veterinary clinic on days off of school or whenever they ask! I plan on attending a 4-year university after school and going to be a vet, myself!

For my activity, I would rate myself at a solid 7-8/10 on school days, as I check scratch before I leave for school and am on pretty much the rest of the day after about 3:30 PM CT. On weekends, depending what I am getting myself into, I rate myself a solid 9/10. I normally do not go inactive for long periods of time or need a break, but if I needed to, I would alert the proper people and try to let anyone I am roleplaying know in advance.

I have been in a number of rolepays since I joined scratch. Some include: Elements, Endeavors of SeaClan, TFCRP, and others that died out after I joined. In Elements, I created a random tomcat whom I don’t remember the name of, due to me roleplaying him like once, and killed him off. In Endeavors of SeaClan (both the original and revival roleplays) I roleplayed a tomcat Bumblemoon, whom I signed up with. I kept him through the first SeaClan’s “death” and into the revamp, though I killed him off due to the roleplay’s inactivity. My biggest roleplaying experience would definitely be in TFCRP. I started with a sign-up character, whom I killed off quickly, and then moved on to applying for litters. I applied and won Petalkit, later Petalsigh, out of the Midnight Wonders Litter and had her until she was above 40 moons. I ended up letting her go a few months ago due to her being mentally draining to roleplay for me. Plus, I didn’t roleplay with her enough, based her personality around her negative traits, and did not give her near enough character development. Since then, I have won two other characters in TFCRP. I own Gooseberrypaw of ShadowClan, whom I love more than anything, and Shrek the kittypet, who just arrived to the TwoLeg place. I look forward to having these two live out long, happy lives and I can’t wait to see where it takes them! <3

Empathetic : Ghostkit can definitely get a feel for what others around him are thinking and feeling. He will try his best to communicate with them and help them move past any negative emotions. He can, and will, begin to feel the same as them, given enough time to talk it all through. Someone made his dad mad? Boom, now he is, too. A friend is sad because they were called a not-so-nice name? He’s sad with them. He’s a bundle of emotion, but if you’re close to him and going through something, odds are he’ll be able to understand.

Appreciative : Due to him being abandoned by his mother, Ghostkit is very appreciative of what he has. Anyone who gives him any attention, prey, or anything at all, will now be in his favor. He’s grateful for the things he has and appreciates anyone who has given him a chance. He will try to tell cats, like his dad, that he appreciates everything they’ve done for him. It will mean a lot to him, and he will try to show it to them whenever he can, because he genuinely means it.

Patient : Able to wait out whatever needs to pass, Ghostkit is incredibly patient. Whether it’s waiting on someone to return from patrol, someone to conjure up the nerve to tell him something, or just waiting on the unpleasant weather to pass, you will find that Ghostkit will tolerate it, letting it pass or arrive without getting himself worked up. He will not get trusted if a problem arises, preferring to just stay calm and let it happen. He’ll get back on track right after, no emotional outburst needed!

Humble : Knowing that he isn’t of FallenClan decent, Ghostkit may let another kit do something before him due to that fact. He is very humble, not letting himself get boosted up on compliments and becoming cocky. He knows that without his dad and the rest of the cats of the Clan, he’d most likely be gone from the world, and makes sure to not let his head get in the way of that fact. He much rather let others know of their importance than have him think highly of himself and place himself over them.

Wholesome : You see Ghostkit? Welp, hope you like what you see, because what you see is what you’re getting! He doesn’t particularly care for any wrong things, like prey-stealing, bullying, or any unsavory behaviors. He definitely will not be engaging in any of these, as he has been taught many morals by cats around him or by himself. He wants to be a decent cat tk everyone, and definitely doesn’t want them to get the wrong impression on him, so why give them reason to?

neutral traits: bashful, curious, imaginative, hopeless romantic, creative

Bashful : Ghostkit is a shy little guy, that’s for sure! If talking to someone who ranks higher than him, he will often look to his paws, too bashful to look them back in their eyes. He doesn’t like to be the center of attention, either. In fact, he will scrounge around the edge of any circle, like that of a meeting, looking for someone who he knows to sit with. He definitely doesn’t want all on eyes on him, no, no! He’d probably freeze up under all those eyes and just emit a drawn-out speak.

Curious : Little Ghost is a curious little kit, that’s for sure! Always asking questions Iike: “Oh, what’s that?” “Why does so and so work like that/do that?” “Why does that happen?” Just full of questions as he eagerly learns all he can about various topics that interest him! He just wants to know how the world and all its wonderful creations work, so what if he asks a lot of questions? He’s ready to learn, and learn he shall!

Imaginative : When he’s not asking numerous questions, Ghost likes to imagine his own answers when no one’s around to answer him. He likes to imagine solutions and things (like a butterfly-bird hybrid) that don’t exist and tries to figure out how they would fit into the world around him. He also likes to imagine new worlds, where all the characters, settings, and events are controlled by the tips of his paws. Perhaps he will think you into his new story? But as which character: the villain or the hero? Stick around with this little kitty and find out!

Hopeless romantic : When you speak of love, make no mistake when thinking this little guy doesn’t know about it. With a heart a bit too big, Ghost is definitely a hopeless romantic. He can’t help but believe that everyone is meant for someone, no matter how long it takes or how many bumps in the road there are until they come together; especially after his mother’s leaving him. He believes that love is out there, you just have to dig around to find it. He’s definitely seeing it through his dad’s actions, so maybe it isn’t a hopeless case after all.

Creative : If you haven’t figured it out by now, Ghostkit is very a creative feline. Able to create other worlds in his mind, always thinking up new animals and other things, or trying his paw at making an accessory, this little guy is quite the creative type. He has many ideas on what to make, most of which are his very own. Time to time, he will need a muse, normally finding it in nature or through the cats around him. He loves to think-up cool accessories for cats he’s close to, usually which are a reflection on how he views them or their personality. Who knows? Maybe you’ll get one from our little ghoul.

Naive : Our little Ghost, as great as he may be, is not without flaws. When it comes to situations where he might need experience on his side and reasoning, this little guy isn’t too great here. Often finding himself unaware of something or knowledge, he’s quite naive. And jokes. Oh, how he dislikes some of those things. Look up, there’s something spelled in the sky? He’s fallen for that /way/ too many times he cares to admit. He’s innocent, who can blame him? He doesn’t see or know some things, so what? He’s learning! ..maybe just slowly.

Paranoid : Ah, another one of the after-effects of Ghost’s mother leaving him that fateful night. Our little ghoul cannot seem to get over the thoughts that cats aren’t what they seem. There might be a motive behind that mask of friendliness, you don’t know that! Why would they be nice to him so openly? What are they getting out of it? He can’t come to a conclusion yet, but he will, just you wait! Another example of his paranoia is natural disasters, like a storm. What if one just pops up? What if Dad gets stuck out there? What if he never sees him again? Maybe he should go check on him..

Antisocial : Coping mechanism? Maybe. But you’ll be lucky if this little ghoul allows you to get to know him to find out. Ghostkit is antisocial. He will avoid any interaction from others at times, including those he’s close to. He will cut himself off for an undetermined amount of time until he is ready to get back into the social game, but will definitely shy away from large crowds and cats he doesn’t know well. He feels that if he doesn’t get close to others, he won’t be hurt when they ultimately leave him, another mechanism to distance himself and guard his fragile heart.

Vulnerable : From the start, Ghostkit has been needy. From picking out the exact piece of prey he wants, to being tucked in and being told a bedtime story or sung until he falls asleep, he’s always needed just a tad more attention than others. He doesn’t mean to cause a fuss, he just wants his dad close to him, sometimes at all times. He can’t help it! He wants to be loved and feel loved, so by getting a bit more attention than the normal kit would receive, he begins to feel that. His mother’s leaving influenced this, perhaps, but as long as someone is there to take care of him, he’ll feel what he’s so longing for.

Weak-willed : Does our little ghoul give up easily? Sometimes. Does he lack motivation some days to do something that could potentially be hard? Sometimes. When it comes to things he doesn’t want to do, Ghosty is very undetermined to do that. This could pertain to tasks, duties, conversation or even continuing relationships. It doesn’t mean he’ll give up on everyone, but if they do something that doesn’t sit right with him or they don’t really want to be someone who wants to be close with him, he’ll most likely nicely just let them go. Well, he’ll try to, that is. Some days it’s just so unbearable to do anything.. who said he had to go on patrol? He didn’t sign up for this, anyways!

Ghostkit will most likely be cisgender using he/him pronouns during his kithood. Shortly after he becomes a ‘paw, however, he will identify as a demiboy, using he/him/they/them pronouns.
For the sake of simplicity, I will be using he/him pronouns for Ghostkit in this application.

I try to keep my characters as long as possible in order to give them a full life, or until I cannot possibly continue to roleplay them, whether it’s because of irl reasons or anything other. If I were to win Ghostkit, I would most likely keep them well into their warrior moons - aiming for at least 60! :]

i. Ghostkit :: 3 moons :: FC Camp :: Sunhigh :: Leaf-Fall - warm and partially cloudy
As the sun drew to its highest point in the sky, occasionally hiding behind a few scattered clouds as it did, another being was rising. A light brown tabby kitten blinked his large sky-blue eyes as he emerged from the nursery, squinting in the bright light. It had just been nap-time, and an enjoyable one at that, for our little ghoul. He liked sleeping - getting to drift off, leaving all the troubles of the real world behind him as he was enveloped into wonderful dreams. Oh, how he loved his dreams! In one, he had the wings of a bird, able to fly above the heavens, looking down at the world that had seemed so much smaller from up in the clouds. Then there was the time he had steps that everyone in FallenCall were as tiny as bugs and lived underground in small tunnels. He had particularly enjoyed that one, on account that he could roll through the tunnels and that everything else was huge in comparison to him. The blades of grass had even towered over him like the trees did now. A warm breeze brushed past him, sending a few multicolored leaves dashing past him. He smiled, relishing in the warmth for a moment. Then a thought struck him. What if the leaves weren’t actually leaves, but little cat-beings, who wore leaves as disguises.. Slowly, as the day began to shift and the sun began to fall again, the little kit began his first ever story, narrating and revising it in his head. It’s awaiting to be told now, so he’d better go find Papa!

ii. Ghostpaw :: 7 moons :: Mushroom Forest :: Dusk :: Leaf-Bare - light snow
Cold. It was cold. Ghost did not like the cold that came with the snow. Not one bit. But the other cats had /insisted/ he go and try to catch something for the Clan before dark. How they resented the other cats, in the moment. Getting to curl up and stay cozy in their nests as he froze in a snow drift. With a heavy sigh, he trudged through the frozen landscape, traveling over whatever drifts would hold them on account of his light weight, and bounding through whichever would not. It was hard work for someone with such short legs, but the thought of getting to their favorite place was enough to fuel him onwards. Stepping out of yet another disastrous drift, he came to what he had been looking for: the Mushroom Forest. They shook out their fluffy pelt, making sure to knock the snow off their whiskers and padded between the large mushrooms, his steps lighter than they had been before entering. He had always loved the large, whimsical mushrooms that grew in the west part of the territory. Only small amounts of snow had been able to break through the plants borders, creating a dry path for them. He ambled along, picking out the best spot and curling up amongst the mushrooms. Now that he was in peace and quiet, away from all other cats, he could continue his story. Where had they been again? Oh yes, the part where the young heroes were hiding in a tree from their captors.. Preparing for a nice night to himself, Ghostpaw rested his head on their small paws, sky-blue eyes looking up to the twinkling stars that began to spark into the growing night sky through the tops of the mushrooms.

iii. Ghostpaw :: 12 moons :: The Moonfalls :: Dawn :: Green-Leaf - foggy, drizzling rain
The protagonist of our story was on another quest, on the chilly morning. It had rained the previous night, with rain drizzling down into the next dawn, creating one of his favorite times. Ghosty had always liked the rain, it was like a soothing lullaby on even the stormiest night, a gentle reassurance that you weren’t alone. His light brown coat, on the other hand, was not being cooperative. It wanted to absorb the water as it fell, making them chilled and soaked to his small bones. But he couldn’t get distracted, no. They had set out early for this, and he was not going to back down now on account of being a little cold. Through the mist, their blue eyes could just make out the faint silhouette of large rocks, stacked in top of one another to create a beautiful scene. The Moonfalls. He trotted closer, surveying the area as they tried not to slip and tumble off a rock, slick with rain. Why had they come to this place, the same very place he had been abandoned by his mother? Why, after all this time? He had been to the Falls a few times, mainly for training. But why now? Perhaps it was his ever-approaching ceremony that would mark him as a warrior of the Clan who had taken him in. He appreciated everything they had done for him, but he couldn’t help but wonder after the mother who had left him that fateful night. On a whim, he began narrating his next story aloud, “In the night in which the band of cats were to be betrayed, the noble leader had caught wind of it and urged his mate to take their son, their only true heir somewhere out of danger, somewhere safe. But what he didn’t know..” They trailed off, beginning to write a new story: his own in the strengthening Dawn light by the place he had been condemned by his mother.

-Small-bred cats can be called a variety of things, teacup cat, dwarfs, or miniatures. These cats are specifically bred to be on the lower end of a regular adult cat’s weight which is 9-12 pounds. Teacup cats contain a dwarfism gene that makes them proportionally small across their entire body, which has made us humans want them as cuddly little critters. They are typically bred by an undersized male and undersized female, whose sizes could be caused by breeding, stunted growth, and other health issues such as diseases. Regardless of what breed a teacup cat is, they are susceptible to suffer from oral and dental infections, misshapen and soft bones, slower muscle mass growth (which can cause decrease usage of limbs), arthritis, heart murmurs or an enlarged heart, seizures and other neurological issues, shortened lifespans, misshaped jaws or bowed legs, reproductive organs growing wrongly or not at all, can be unable to regulate their body temperature, and possibly can be more stressed than the average cat, which can limit their stamina, predatory urges, and make them unable to do things the average cat can do. Regular vet appointments are the only way to check for any health related issues and make sure your companion is healthy.

-Osteochondrodysplasia, the scientific term for the genetic mutation that affects the cartilage of cat’s ears and other bones, causing the cartilage in them to fold forward, giving Scottish Folds their namesake. With the abnormality of the ear cartilage, comes the abnormalities of other bones throughout the body - severe defective bone and cartilage development - which can lead to painful arthritis. Cats with the osteochondrodysplasia gene are prone to suffer from degenerative joint disease which can cause fusing of the tail, ankles, and knees, which in turn will cause the cat to have a reluctance to move, abnormal posture and gait, become lame, can lead them to having short, misshapen limbs, and even can render the cat crippled. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this progressive condition. Cats who develop arthritis because of this disease will need long term pain medication, dietary supplements to slow its development. In severe cases, cats have undergone surgery or radiotherapy to slow the progression of the disease.
