Opinion taken :-P Technology…..
Why learn a language….. When something new is just going to replace it in 5-10 years from now?

Yeah the cloud servers seem to be down still: Cloud variable history NEVER EVER LOADS.

I wrote to support because I haven't been able to evaluate my cloud variables for a long time. They answered me that there are currently no problems. Now that I'm reading something different here, I'm irritated.

According to colinmacc's test project, do cloud variables created after the switch (if i were to make one now for example) still work?no, they might not.
You may still need to rename your brand new Cloud Variables in your new project to get them properly registered and working with the Cloud. Sadly, now we can't even see the Cloud history log for our projects, making troubleshooting even more difficult. I haven't tested this in the past week, myself, but this was the case after the problem started.
Best bet at the moment when starting a new project seems to be to:
- create your cloud variables with a temporary name;
- save your project (likely not required before the next step, but just in case);
- rename each cloud variable; and
- re-save your project.
The same last two steps would apply to existing projects. You can rename the variables back to what they were, but renaming them is the “tried and true” way (read: workaround) of forcing the variables to function within the Scratch Cloud. Without doing so, the project will appear to never read back the current value(s) from the Cloud.

Yep, that's what they've been saying ever since the Maintenance Weekend … they still don't think they have a problem Yet Cloud Variables have been completely stuffed since then, and a week or 2 after that it got even worse where “See Data” no longer reports anything at all, it juts gets stuck in an infinite wait loop. Says a lot about their competence when it comes to testing? I wrote to support because I haven't been able to evaluate my cloud variables for a long time. They answered me that there are currently no problems. Now that I'm reading something different here, I'm irritated.
But the most annoying and disappointing thing of all is the fact that this discussion thread, made sticky and created by a Scratch Team member (who probably isn't active anymore), no longer serves its purpose. And that probably goes the same for the whole Bugs & Glitches forum. It's token forum now, and never viewed by any ST member I suspect. It's now just a Forum for us Scratchers to vent. Makes me want to start looking around for an alternative tool to teach Coding with.

Also, I'm needing help with my project too:
I know for sure that the variables are meant to be higher than this (basically you click to increase the number, but I did that more than once and never reset it after that), but they won't increase at all now (when I refresh it's just gone), and seemingly reverted or sth. This is really annoying, and is probably worse than what was happening a few months ago (at least we could see the logs, basically all the values were reverting, and it seems to be happening again).

We've known about that for days now.
Oh yea guess what? Scratch Team doesn't care about Cloud Data. They layed off the only engineers to have taken care of it. What does that say about the staff, and the community?
Not very good.

Have you tried just renaming all your cloud variables? We were told that sometimes “works”.
Despite all the nonsense, this is the only workaround we have, and Scratch Team refuses to fix the cloud data for all old projects shared pre maintenance day.

No, but if it “sometimes” does, I'm scared , and I don't think I'm gonna do an update to my project that doesn't really add it to the project this time, and until this is fixed :-/ Have you tried just renaming all your cloud variables? We were told that sometimes “works”.
