People getting in trouble for no reason.
I think it is brilliant that you can report things so that you can look over them, however I have noticed that a couple of my friends on Scratch have gotten in trouble for no reason. One time, my old friend[ (removed) got KICKED OFF of Scratch for no reason. One of my other friends on Scratch, (removed) that cannot comment for a day because of what she said to someone else. What she said is not even rude! If they get in trouble because other people report something that is not mean or rude, maybe you could punish them?
All that I'm trying to say is that please do not get people in trouble for no reason.
Thanks,

Please don't mention names while reporting problems in the forums.
Anyway, Scratch Team NEVER bans someone for no reason. Your friends can appeal the ban if you ask them to. However, please don't use the forums to complain about people getting banned.

If somebody is reporting somebody else for no reason, they will get an alert and possibly a block for “bad reporting”. There are a couple of automatic things that can happen though:
First, the “bad word” filter is not perfect and makes mistakes sometimes. If it thinks you are being rude a number of times in a row, it can “mute” your account for a period of time and send a message to the moderators to check it out. So perhaps that is what happened to your friend. It's unfortunate when that happens and the person is not being rude - but we feel it is a valuable safeguard against trolls and people not familiar with our standards. It's right far more often than it is wrong.
Second, if enough people report your project, it can be automatically censored and your account will be temporarily blocked until a moderator can review the situation. This can happen even if your project is fine. However, once the moderator checks it out and finds that it is fine, your account will be unblocked and the “bad report” alert will likely be sent to the people that reported your project (unless it was an honest difference of opinion on a borderline project). Again, it's unfortunate when this feature is abused to hassle somebody - but that's pretty rare. It's a first line of defense against trolls and a very valuable safeguard.

I do agree with panda though. My project was taken down for bad language, and it didn't have any.(removed) got KICKED OFF of Scratch for no reason.
