Railing back ontopic, I believe it should be a dice since I can't see people mentioning it (or im blind)You mean for the symbol? Yeah it makes the most sense.
Also, I support this suggestion—it’s practically harmless and I know we’ve all had that time when we can’t think of a username. Even if you don’t use the generated username, it’ll give you an idea.

(removed since I posted on the wrong tab also no im not gonna guess your name since thats personal info)Ok heres my point:
My name could be wikdin
Wikden
And you wont be able to guess it just from the 3 letters+
You can just not say you used the first 3 letters of your name

in the scratch motto, the first line is “imagine” , which implies you should be creative with your work on Scratch. Making a username generator goes against the Scratch Teams morals of imagining and creativity, so I'm not sure if this suggestion goes with the brand of Scratch.I disagree with that. How is a username generator going to stop people from imagining/using their creativity?
Furthermore, there are billions of available usernames that are still creative, so I'm sure users can think of one.
My username was actually generated by a username generator, and it still inspired me to use my creativity. My friend's username is “TeenyFork” (which was my idea). In fact, I'm planning to create a project about strangely sized utensils.
How is that not being creative?

This would help a lot of future Scratchers.

Yeah I've seen some websites use this randomizer thing.Yeah, a dice would be cool.
Also in my opinion it should be nice to have a dice button (or any randomizer button) next to the text username area.

Support! As someone who struggles coming up with usernames, a preset one like QuickestHeight19203 would be nice.

random adjectives (1 to 3, random) + random noun + number (1 to 9999, 5 digits is too much)
Support as long as it's optional.

I have another reason to support this: let's say someone wanted to join Scratch for the programming. He was really interested in the whole thing and had lots of good ideas. He didn't want to waste time thinking of a name; he wanted to actually start coding. So a generator would be helpful in that case.

(1 to 9999, 5 digits is too much)but then if it was 1 to 9999 we would run out of randomized usernames faster (unless my logic is garbage)

Scratch motto applies to everything, including creating an account. To me, this also implies that you should be creative and imaginative with your username as well. How do you explain people who come up with usernames like “I_LOVE_SCRATCH_123”? Is that creative? Not really. So does that mean they are bad Scratchers for disobeying Scratch's motto? No.
If a user can't think of a username, why can't they use a generator?

Thank you for your constructive reply. Whilst there is no denying that some usernames are still uncreative despite the user thinking of it, I believe that using your imagination should be encouraged in all fields of Scratch, and I feel that a username generator discourages this imagination which Scratch seems to want their community to use, by their slogan. You have a valid point; however, I think the “creative” in the Scratch motto is more focused towards the projects/code aspect, rather than all aspects. A username is only a name under which these projects are shared. Therefore, someone should be able to come up with a username that they want - and that could be through a username generator.

I want to add something to this. I wrote a post above:

Just because he used a generator doesn't mean he isn't creative.

Also, if your username is taken, could it give you recommendations for possible users you could use?
I’ve seen this on a lot of websites, and I remember having this on some alts on websites.
Anyway, you don’t have to be really creative with your name, like on a website I signed up for I decided to use my old club Penguin username (I had that account for 8-9 years before the game was shut down) for the nostalgia, but someone took it in like 2013 so I had to just modify it a bit. Would that be considered uncreative if I had just used it on Scratch?
