In the case that the post or topic listed becomes deleted instead of the link becoming a confusing 403 page it could replaced it with a new BBcode tag [deleted] which would say that the corresponding post or topic is deleted in a widget, you could also use this directly to reference a post or topic which is deleted. No more needing to edit posts or topics when a referenced post or topic becomes dustbinned!
Yeah, this could be great.
Though let’s wait until the suggestion gets a bit more attention, then I’ll see if adding that too would be nice.
Waiting until this gets more attention isn't a good reason to stop improving the suggestion?
Oh…
Okay-

Can the BBcodes replace each other? I intended for the links to be a text link, I didn’t think about widgets in the first place. If the deleted thing could replace other ones, how would it be shown using text?
The ST can simply make it that in the rendering of the BBCode if it links to a 403 page then it could be rendered identically to the [deleted] BBCode basically having the same effect as replacement. If you want to stick to text links then…

Hmm, okay then. I’ll add that to the OP.

Kind of like how the Wiki does it? This would save me so much time.

Yes, it will work like the wiki tag.

Fun fact: The wiki actually sort of has that, as you can do [[topic:712746]] to link to this topic. Maybe, similar to the wiki, there could be projects, studios, and users tags too.

Yeah, I don’t think I’m going to suggest those tags. Three is enough at the moment.

Wait in the post and topic tags we should be able to specify the titles and it will link to the first topic/post that it finds with the title.

I don’t think that’ll work. What if the topic it found is closed? Or inactive?
Yeah, guys, i think I’ll stop adding stuff you guys say. Three tags is good enough at the moment. /nm

It could just skip over closed or inactive topics.

How would it even know which one is inactive

If the topic hasn't been posted on in a long time.

Okay, I get your point now. But finding topics is a hard thing, and scratch doesn’t even have that. What if the most popular topic about something strays from your description by 2 words?

IMHO i don't see the point of this, since you would need to know the link to the forum anyway, may as well just use link tags.
