I have made plenty of big projects (including the entire Mariokart Wii) in scratch, but couldn't post them because they crashed peoples computers. Also that was on an old account which is why it says im new to scratch. I am currently making a Wii tank game but I may not be able to post that either because of file size limitations. Only time will tell

Pretty sure the crashing issue is on the user’s end, it’s not the fault of the project creator. And anyway I heard that Scratch 3.0 projects have no file size limitations.

thats intresting, I heard it was 50mb, also how can I fix this on my end? And would it require getting a new computer?

2.0 projects had the 50 MB limitation.
Unfortunately the only good way I know of to fix the crashes is to upgrade.

Or use optimised editors like turbowarp.

Actually the size limit in 3.0 is 10MB per sound and costume and the project JSON must be under 5MB.

True, however as long as these assets don't go over the limit then the project can be as big as 100 MB (or more than that.) For example, download this project and you'll see that it's almost 100 MB. There are bigger projects out there but it's almost midnight where I live and I don't have time to show one anyway.

There's no limitations except for it's .json file, which must be less than 5MB

That project almost crashed my computer… it was running at 99%.

Scratch and web browsers are both very resource-intensive, and when those things are combined then it hogs a lot of resources on your computer. I guess the only solutions would be to use an optimized version of Scratch, like TurboWarp, use a browser that uses less resources (I don't know of any), or just upgrade your computer, whether that means adding more RAM or something like that, or just buy a new computer with more power.
