Yeah Wii modding is cool, wish I had a Wii, would definitewii do some modding with it

You know, I checked the open shop channel twitter page not too long a go and a year earlier they announced they would be redeveloping the wii shop channel like they planned to. Havent heard anything since, wonder if it is still in the works…

Dakotath is reviving the Wii shop channel. The name is Launchshop channel. I might see if I can help him with redeveloping the shop.

I cannot believe I have to use a wifi extender. I have to use a wifi extender cause I have Xfinity and it only has the 5ghz band. I at least got RiiConnect24 on my Wii.

Do you have a mesh Wi-Fi network?

And isn't it your router that determines what Wi-Fi bands you have, or am I misunderstanding?

Yeah bro, that really sucks. Maybe you guys can save up and switch to Netgear Orbi. I use that and It's a speedy network with a long range Wifi Band.

Remember kids, MarioCube has the necessary WADs for RiiConnect24 and maybe WiiLink. So you don't actually need the patchers, got it?

I’m currently attempting to mod my Wii
First try was a fail (I’m using str2hax and I got the if config error), kept forgetting to connect to the internet with the dns (causing me to force restart thr Wii multiple times), and I’m currently struggling to connect to the internet with the custom dns (every time I press connect to internet the Wii just says “Connect internet 2” or something idk)

I don’t have an sd card tho so I can’t do much with it, all I have is the homebrew channel

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EVERYONE IN THE FORUM! Never use a homebrew app called “Pimp (brick) My Wii.” Why? You ask, well, after using the app it could render your Wii unstable.

I hear those are nice but also way too crazy expensive to be worth it.
