How come the only thing that got added into Scratch that came from Scratch Labs was the one thing that people got irrationably mad about?

This feels very niche, I don't think it'd have too many uses. Also it's based on the camera again

to ability to mask something with a sprite would be useful if it was applied to anything else.

If they add the face detection to it, you can make some really funny social media filters, but that's the only use I can think of

If they add the face detection to it, you can make some really funny social media filters, but that's the only use I can think of

I personally find it strange how they decided to test out video sprites (which I can't find a good use for) instead of considering something like Let's Chance (which I think is more useful for projects relying on probability.) How come that was abandoned?

From my understanding, it wasn't developed internally by someone inside the ST, but as a project for a class of some kind.
(More discussion on it here)

Edit: Does anyone have an ETA for the text extension?
