Is my new project idea appropriate for scratch?
I am trying to make this new game and I wanna know if this would be acceptable on scratch. I want to make a horror game where the horror character is scratchcat and all the other main scratch characters. If I show a warning sign when you first click the flag to warn people of jumpscares would it be allowed or would this be a bad representation of the scratch main characters?

I believe projects with jumpscares are okay as long as they’re not too violent, but your project may get marked as NFE (not for everyone) I am trying to make this new game and I wanna know if this would be acceptable on scratch. Jumpscares aren't allowed on this site. Use of jumpscares is a reportable offense.
If you're going to make something “creepy”, don't make it scary enough to creep out an 8 year old (Because there are kids on this site).

Can I put a disclaimer on my Scratch project to warn people it's not for all ages?the announcement in question explains the whole thingamajig, so read it.
Everything shared in our community should be appropriate for all ages. Any content that requires a disclaimer or warning isn't aligned with this philosophy and would not be suitable for Scratch. If a warning is needed, it is probably not appropriate for Scratch.
Read it as it explains it alot better.

I know that loud jumpscares are against CGs but if it's not scary and it won't frighten anyone then it probably should be okay, But i do recommend you to not add any jumpscares

All content on scratch must be for all ages, but if you really want to make a horror game, i suggest not putting jumpscares or blood and putting 3 warnings (one in the title, one in the project and one in the description).

Jumpscares that are ok: I know that loud jumpscares are against CGs but if it's not scary and it won't frighten anyone then it probably should be okay, But i do recommend you to not add any jumpscares
Guy in a calm voice saying “boo” (not loudly)
Kirby shows up on the screen (not suddenly, with not alot of colour contrast, and not loudly)
Jumpscares that are not ok:
Guy shouting “BOO!”
Kirby but with blood suddenly showing up on screen with a loud background screech
tl: dr if it makes people scared or jumps its not allowed
