Scratch on Tablets
Is the Scratch Team going to make Scratch work on tablets? That would be really cool to be doing Scratch on a tablet.

It's not the ST's problem. It's flash. Tablets don't use flash player. If you could get flash on your tablet, it would work just like a pc.

Tablets don't use flash. You can use a program like Snap, which is basically Scratch but uses a bit more mathematics and focuses more on coding than graphics. You can also use Hopscotch although that's not Scratch.

Could Scratch make a copy of Scratch and make it on tablets? Some programing language?
Thanks for answering!

The Scratch Team has said that they are not working on an app for Scratch right now. However, Snap uses javascript, so you can run it on almost any phone or tablet, although slowly.
If you're determined to use Scratch on your tablet, try using a flash browser (Puffin is good for iOS, and Dolphin is good for Android).

Snap is good and can be done on a variety of phones and tablets. You can't upload Snap projects to Scratch but it's great practice for coding. As others have said, you can use Puffin for iOS and Dolphin for android. Hopscotch is good too.
Barclays Code Playground also works but you type instead. It's not as hard as Java coding let's say, and the instructions are practically there for you, so you don't have to worry too much about getting it wrong.

You can try using phosphorus to run Scratch projects on your tablet, but most won't work because you either need a keyboard or the project's too big (for me, my browser crashes if I run anything above ~500 kb .
I thought Barclay's Code Playground was a ripoff of Scratch and you even said so yourself and showed a video. 0_0
And here's the link.

That doesn't necessarily mean you can't use it before a lawsuit hopefully comes in.

Or you could use elfin8r's Scratch android app which is the equivalent to Scratch (as long as you have Adobe Air).

There was an app for Scratch once on the iOS App Store (I think. I'm not completely sure.) but it got taken down because Apple doesn't allow applications on the App Store which interpret or execute code.
I don't know about Android, but I don't think it would happen.

It actually would work but I'm trying to find out how to run scratch on Android Ematic without installing any apps.
If someone can give info on this I'd really appreciate it!
