Forum is a Latin word referring to an open public square where people gather. Member is not a Latin word.

I learned a few Latin and Greek words because in some of my books, the derivations of the words are also stated. These may be Greek words, but also may be Latin, I'm not too sure:
Atmos —-> Vapour
Lithos —–> Land(?)
Bios ——–> Life
Hydro(?) –> Water

The definitions and words that I have put a (?) on are words that I'm unsure about.

Those look like Greek words. “-os” is a pretty common word ending in Greek.

If I remember correctly, in Latin, land is “terra”, life is “vita”, and water is “aqua”. I'm not sure what vapor translates to.

I always mix up Greek and Latin words.
