Make the UI Actually Responsive
The ST have bothered to make the UI responsive… kind of… lots of stuff is missing / trashed on mobile. You lose a lot of buttons in portrait and never get search/create/explore. Also, the project viewer doesn't fit in the page, and messages is zoomed out for some reason. Even the featured project scrollers don't even work right. They go kind of in between the two projects but don't show a full thumbnail. Even explore is slightly broken. All of the filters are just a tower. And don't get me started on the editor. They didn't even try there. In portrait, most of the screen is just blank and a lot is elongated. On landscape, the editor is too big. All of this is so half-(swear)ed that I prefer the Non-Responsive 2.0 pages that aren't designed for mobile at all. That really says something about the UI. (And yes, only 3.0 is responsive, not a big deal that's a given)

The Scratch 3.0 editor is not made for use on mobile devices. On mobile you are supposed to be able to explore, comment, and play games, but it is in fact true that the ST “didn't even try,” at least not that hard, to make the editor mobile friendly, because that's not what it's made for.

Most things are messed up in some capacity.

As for the rest of the site, yeah, I do agree that it could be designed better for mobile. Some of those pages… >

I don't think the rest of the website is intended to work on phones, either — just tablets.

The minimum Scratch could add for mobile viewing is a sidebar for all the items in the navigation bar. Most websites do that

This would be pretty useful for when I’m browsing scratch on my phone since you have to go to the profile page or my stuff to access the entire navigation bar. It would be easy since they could detect the screen size and change the UI if they detect it’s the phone screen. However, I couldn’t picture the editor fitting entirely on a phone screen since it would probably look pretty strange if it was all resized to fit a landscape phone screen.
This would take quite some time, however I think it would be worth it. Semi-support.

Scratch is not for phones, it works on tabs. Also nobody codes on phonesnobody codes on phones because there isn't any support for it. I thinks hes trying to suggest that we have a working UI, so i don't get why people keep saying scratch isn't for phones because that's exactly what he's suggesting

Yes, coding on phones is kinda unpractical, but the rest of the website should work as intended
