Why is scratch's editor color purple? i am talking about when the top of the screen was blue, the default color when you edit a sprite your pen automatically changes and any shape you make is purple. why are so many things purple? even the LOOKS section is purple.

and guess what? it is part of LOOKS. and we use the editor to change its looks and that is purple.

The “Looks” category has always been purple.
You've missed out.
You can read this when it came out and this of when it was announced.

Same thing happened with me. I took a 7 month break and I returned the DAY they turned it purple. I guess something similar with you?

No, this is how it remains for now, nothing is turning more purple.

one day, the scrtach logo will turn purple. actually, when everything's purple, scrtach cat will remain his color until purple catse are existing. if they already are, they will replace scratch cat in around 2030 is scrtach cat is willing to stay 10 years.
