I think a relatively harmless jumpscare, such as an image of an apple (or some similarly harmless item) going from tiny to large in the middle of the screen is fine. I don't think there is any real need for a jumpscare, so you probably shouldn't risk getting punished.

I’m not even really sure that’s a “jumpscare” at this point.

I’d say if it has clear intention of scaring people, it’s not ok. Unless you’re an extremely unlucky kid who makes an unintentionally ugly drawing that gets taken down for being too scary, or something like that, you should really be able to discern whether it crosses the line or not.

No scary jumpscares are allowed at all. Although I'm pretty sure there isn't such a thing as a not scary jumpscare, so I'm willing to bet that no jumpscares are allowed. Adding a warning or adding an option does not increase the chance of your project being OK, because it does not remove the inappropriate content.

Jumpscares are allowed (to a certain extent), but it will make your project NFE.

Spooky's House of Jumpscares contains cute cardboard cutout jumpscares that still scare people, but they have a cute smile on their face and are just generally cute drawings. Those types of jumpscares are the ones that you will be able to add into your game.

Well that isn't a jumpscare anymore, is it. I think you meant for the screen to be at the beginning at the game with text like “Jumpscares are present in this game.” rather than “A jumpscare is about to happen.” because that implies that it's about to happen very soon, perhaps in the next second.

That's actually not true. Report any button with a jumpscare button as jumpscares are not allowed even with a button or toggle.
