Maintenance = Scratch 4.0?? (PROOF)

I tried visiting scratch.org and it just returned a blank page, however a favicon logo loaded.

A 4-eyed cat???

So then, I tried visiting it on my laptop to see more, but for some reason I got redirected to scratch.mit.edu
And I realised, it didn't redirect me on mobile because I had a VPN on? I tried visiting on my laptop with the same VPN, it only worked on one specific server, the Netherlands server (I can't share more details due to the Browser Extension policy), and the page loaded succesfully!

Well, it was still a blank page, but it was interesting… because when I went to this URL, which is the chrome URL to view the HTML source of a webpage, it showed some code.

So then, I simply saved it and uploaded it to glitch.

Could anyone explain this? Is Scratch 4.0 really coming? I don't understand.

The Scratch Team never announced anything about 4.0 coming, meaning there is no 4.0 coming.
The maintenance is just API transferring to a new configuration and other stuff
Maybe what you saw is just some other unannounced things coming after the maintenance

I don't think there is a 4.0 coming. The four eyed cat is probably an April Fools thingy, I've seen one, and I don't really know about the “unfinished page” (I'm on mobile so I can't see everything well), it can just be something new to 3.0

I… don't think so. I'm pretty sure, like 96% sure, that we aren't leaking any content, these are just some random stuff ST has. The scratch.org thing actually redirects to scratch.mit.edu. And I'm sure we won't get banned at all.

and if you guys do get banned, thank goodness i haven't clicked on any of the links except the scratch.org one
