I have no idea what's going on with my 3DS.
Whenever the right shoulder button breaks, it fixes itself.
I'm convinced it's alive.

It is legal unless you're using it to play pirated games.
That means, digital exclusives are lost if you are a law-abiding citizen. If you arr a pirate, that changes.
I bought lots of games legally off the eShop (both on 3DS and Wii U) to commemorate its legacy where does that put me
Law-abiding citizen.
As DifferentDance8 said, we should not talk about stuff that may get us in legal issues, such as piracy.

it's techinally legal since the games aren't being sold.
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/55888/~/intellectual-property-%26-piracy-faq#s2q5
Still illegal.
Yes, because when you pirate games that can no longer be bought for reasonable prices, Mario himself will break into your house, turn you into a goomba, and then jump on you
actually, you'll only turn into a goomba if you don't watch the super mario bros super show
yeah, if you commit piracy however, mario will break into your house, turn you into a koopa, and then jump on you, completely different.
Is It Okay to Copy or Download Older Titles That Are No Longer Sold?
No, the current availability of a game in stores is irrelevant as to its copyright status. Copyrights do not enter the public domain just because they are no longer commercially exploited or widely available. Therefore, the copyrights of games are valid even if the games are not found on store shelves, and using, copying and/or distributing those games is a copyright infringement.

While we recognize the passion that players have for classic games, supporting emulation also supports the illegal piracy of our products. Wherever possible, Nintendo and its licensees attempt to find ways to bring legitimate classics to current systems (via Virtual Console titles, for example).
But tbh who cares
Nintendo.
they would've taken down hShop a while ago if they cared
i mean they did.
No it still works and plus has anyone ever gone to jail for downloading a ROM for a dead console
I mean I downloaded like the entire Virtual Boy library, so no.

Hello! I have recently heard of people using this topic to discuss hacking the 3DS. Just as a reminder, please do not use the Scratch forums to discuss or encourage illegal activities.
Let's stop talking about this, it's illegal, and that's that.
Let's talk about games not legality.

And when they inevitably go down there is already a replacement network that's being worked on (Pretendo)

there might not be an indication but you could easily just do something like take a picture, restart the console and see if the image is still there

I checked by turning off the console, it was still there

It could still read the SD card

I also tested by taking a pic with the camera, it did save

it likes to bug out alot, every time it has to reboot to mount everything when you launch a new game or the home menu it can sometimes slip up and skip a process, I remember saving everything in Tomodachi Life one time and hitting the home screen to come back to that, super scary.

Yesterday, mine accidentally fell onto my basement's floor due to a broken-off table leg causing everything on it to tip over at the slightest touch (I had to move something out of the way, that's why I put it on the table)

I might have deceived you all because the issue started back up again

I looked it up and it the cause might be that the SD card is dying
