Set default sprite position to x:0 y:0
Support. When I create a sprite with the “Paint” option and draw it, The position is at x:36 y:28 and it just doesn't look right for it to be there because it isn't where you look most often at the screen.

No support - I would prefer it appearing at a randomized position so it's easier to find and won't overlap with another sprite and cause confusion.

(36,28) are seemingly random coords. Either have them at the origin or randomise their positions.

the x36 y28 coordinates while making a new sprite is still here.

Set default sprite position to x:0 y:0
Bringing this topic up.
Also, this was made when it was randomized for everything (now that's the case except for paint/blank sprites, created by clicking the paint brush next to [GIGA]).

(36,28) are seemingly random coords. Either have them at the origin or randomise their positions. The randomize thing used to be the case until 3.0. Now in 3.0, everything else is randomized except what I mentioned above.

This is a great idea! I hope the scratch team adds this!

Honestly, I'm not sure who pulled (36,28) out of a hat, but I really can't see why that's not the case already… For concerns about visibility of duplicated sprites, you could just make it so that there's an offset only when duplicating, but not when creating a brand new sprite with the paintbrush.

±0, because I think there is a reason it does this: it could be confusing to new Scratchers, if they add in a whole bunch of sprites, and they go to the same place; they would overlap, and some may be covered entirely. However, your root problem could be fixed by the addition of a “recover sprite” button (suggested by someone, somewhere, sometime). This would execute:go to x: (0) y: (0)
point in direction (90 v)
set size to (100)%
clear graphic effects

It takes like 5 seconds to change the position values to x:0 y:0, sure it's a little tedious but it's not like it takes 10 years to do.

Set default sprite position to x:0 y:0
When you create a sprite, it appears in a random position of the screen. I think it should be in the center of the screen by default because that's where you most often want it. It's too annoying to have to go to the Scripts editor and manually set the sprite's position to x:0 y:0.Support. This is ridicolous when you need the sprite to be centered and you realize you left it at x 36 y 28

You should just be able to set the default pos to a specific position or random, and also apply it to paint sprites then.
