How do I get my games to be more popular?

I've posted several projects, and they don't get as popular as I hope they do. My most popular game only has sixteen views so far. My projects only get eight views on average. I want to someday make a project that gets over one hundred views. I already put my projects in studios and advertise on forums. What else can I do? Also, how can I get my projects featured? Thanks!

Make good, quality games, be active in the community, add your projects to RELATED STUDIOS and advertise in places that SPECIFICALLY SAY that you can advertise. Just note that Scratch is in no way about fame and that should not be your main goal.

You can also advertise in your signature.

For the featured part, just note that other people have to request it to be featured.

Also make a quality thumbnail, Scratchers like to judge projects by their thumbnails..

Try making a project for the Scratch Design Studio (the current one is A Stroll Through The Woods). This has worked really well for me in the past, because projects in the SDS will show up on the front page. My projects get about 10-15 views on average. The game I made for the SDS has almost 1500 views and over 30 loves, and it's just a super simple collecting game— less than 200 blocks. I've also gotten over 15 new followers.

Please remember that Scratch is NOT about fame… The best thing you can do is just be patient! Try to make the kind of projects that interest you, and make you happy! Eventually, others who are interested in the same things will find them, too. If the projects you're making aren't enjoyable to you, it WILL show, and it will result in a lesser quality of project, believe me.

8 views is alot…. Easy way is by being the first to remix another popular person's project, i did this and (Not trying to flex but) IT GOT ON TRENDING!!!!

Basically when you done that share your project and it'll least have like 1 or 2 more views

Add your projects to SDS studios, make the projects they tell you to. I would also suggest making projects you want to make, rather than trending ones.

Be careful with that. While a remix in general is allowed (and could get you views), making no changes to the actual project and sharing it as-is just to get more views could get you banned. A remix's purpose is to build upon the original project, so making an identical copy isn't allowed.

Not saying that you intended to say that, but I just wanted to clarify to the original poster.

Yeah so at least put effort to it, you can take time cause it's not going to blow up, unless they're griffpatch

Even if the project blew up really fast, as long as you were the first person to click the “remix” button, im pretty sure your project gets placed first when you share it. This means that theres absolutely no reason to rush or panick, and you can take all the time you want to make a quality remix that people would enjoy (rather then just a random “FIRST REMIX OMG” project)

I'd say just do your best to make fun, good-quality projects, advertise them according to the rules, be active, and be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day. Also, try to make a lot of connections. The more people you know, the easier it will be for you to spread your projects around the community.
