Add default sprites with code in them
Considering how Scratch is meant to be easy to understand, meant for education, meant to be you can show your creativity, etc — I believe that sprites with code should not be a kickstart, as a New Scratcher, giving them a preset may make it harder for them to learn and start using that preset over and over again, or just making them lazy or just have enough Determination to keep going forward and learn new things.
I believe that there shouldn't be one, as it may just cause someone to get lazy.
Of course, this depends on what peice of code is inside of it, but I believe we do not require, or should have any sprites with preset code — Scratch is made for education and learning. I don't believe we require to leave a small burden on a sprite in the Sprite Library, as here's an example of how coding can go less and less each time after you just discover “Oh! There's an engine for it by someone else.”

Think of this except a user just uses the code from the default sprite they are given, even if that is, surely a change, it may get them stuck in a cycle like this, draining creativity from them.
Creativity for New Scratchers is really large as they are probably piqued, even if it's really temporary.
Apologies but no support.
Forget I said this, I forgot the “Ideas” tab existed

- snip -Do you have the same issues with the existing tutorials presented in the “Ideas” tab at the top of the webpage?

I think I remember this being suggested, but this actually used to exist before Scratch 3.0.

I don't use built - in tutorials ever once, sure, I've may touched it once or twice, but I've never formally used even one built - in tutorial.

think [never formally used built - in tutorials]

No Support. If we add code default then how will New Scratchers learn how to code?

No Support. If we add code default then how will New Scratchers learn how to code? They could learn from what is there.
Also, I'm guessing you're saying New Scratchers didn't learn how to code before 3.0.
Anyway, this is a duplicate:

Yeah….. make them code without coded - in sprites first (only real scratchers have access).

Yea:Thanks for the link! It does look like this is a duplicate topic so I'll close it to keep the conversation all in one place.
