The gradient is more visible, and the color change makes it fresh, making it less boring.

I'm not saying they never listen, but they rarely listen to very helpful suggestions (at least from my experience)

They shouldn’t accept a suggestion just to say they do accept suggestions.
ST also made the blocks optional, are working on dark mode, and are thinking about choosing a custom theme for the website. Why this small one just because?

Just because they changed the nav bar and link colours to purple doesn’t mean that everything should be purple. What would happen to accounts that already had blue profile pictures before the change? What if they wanted to keep their blue profile pictures? Besides, soon enough they’ll make the blue and purple aesthetic an option, so how would the profile pictures work? If the blue setting would be on, then what would happen to the purple profile pictures? Would they be blue or purple depending on the option? How would they detect if the user had the default picture?

I’m sorry, but not only would this be very hard to code into the website if it relied on the settings once those are added, it would be pretty controversial. Also, the reason they changed it to purple would be to help colourblind people. I’m not sure it would really matter if they couldn’t see a new scratcher’s icon considering it’s a white recolour of the scratch cat on top of a blue background.
