I don't see the point in it being a block. It would make more sense for a pop-up to appear at random intervals without input, as putting in the encouragement yourself is a bit strange.

Okay, but why would we need this? I feel as though this falls into the category that many topics fall into. An idea that hasn't been taken from the pile because it's too useless to be used. Many topics have used up the good ideas, so people make up an original idea that literally has no use.

and also, if you're putting multiple ideas for different things in the same thread, you're creating a suggestion list. These are generally discouraged as if you put multiple ideas in the same thread, one idea will be talked about more than the other. If you look at this thread, after the OP mentioned what the OOPS! block does, almost every post is talking about it, so it's better to put your ideas into separate threads to keep a somewhat equal level of popularity.

Of course, you probably shouldn't directly suggest the OOPS! block, but this is for future reference.

Yeah, I'm not sure what would even count for the oops block, but.. just imagine the 6-8 year olds learned bard words because of this block through Scratch, and started saying them at teachers or something.. a lot of mad parents would happen for sure. And I've seen a lot of kids saying bad words without knowing what they actually mean

then why mention the oops block in the OP if it's off topic?

I can only believe that projects centered around optimism would be able to properly utilize this block — which makes sense — though the gut-puncher is that it just puts these restrictions in place solely because it's… well… only built with encouragement in mind, if that makes any sense.
