No, if you use a VPN it will connect you to another IP

They are meant to be used for privacy reasons, but a lot of people use them to bypass IP bans on online games or forum websites

I'm surprised more users aren't talking about this here. I don't use VPNs, but as soon as I read the suggestion, I thought, “There's got to be some legitimate reasons to use VPNs, right?” If there is anybody who uses VPNs for a legitimate reason, then this suggestion automatically excludes them from Scratch. Even though I don't know much about VPNs myself, a legitimate reason has to exist — I highly doubt that VPNs were created or intended for evading account blocks on websites.
