To be honest, I would much rather change I over changing L. The I is still (somewhat) commonly used as ɪ, but I've never seen the L used like that. (Also, it doesn't look as nice in my opinion.

That requires you to change the font. Helvetica doesnt have that.

As with others, I don't see the need to create inconsistencies with the chat font. From an aesthetic standpoint this suggested capital I just looks terrible.
If you want to avoid the confusion with I and l then I guess you could suggest a font that keeps the good look but has a different looking l (lowercase L).


The image above shows the uppercase I (left) compared to the lowercase L (right) in a platform that I'm not allowed to mention due to rules (I forget if I can mention it if it's relevant on the forums, it's been months.)

If it was a font change to a better looking font like above I'd give support, but the suggested just does not look good at all.
