How to pronounce Giga?
Probably the same, most of the character names are based on storage units or how do you call them, like TERAbyte, NANObyteBut how does ST pronounce it? I pronounce it as ‘gee-gah’.
GIGAbyte. So I would assume they pronounce it like in the storage units.

'Geeg-a' should be the right pronounciation(atleast it's what I use), but here's the one from google:
/ˈɡɪɡə/
/ˈɡɪɡə/

How to pronounce Giga?
Giga comes from Gigabyte, which is often shortened to GB, so, just say “G”
Just kidding, although the name Giga really does come from Gigabyte (like Nanobyte, Terabyte, etc), so you can say it like you say “Giga” from “Gigabyte”

How to pronounce Giga?
(#13)Not correct, unfortunately.
uhhh but i pronounce gigabyte like jeegah byte
it's “gee-ga”, as Scratch characters are based on numerical prefixes, such as giga (Billion), tera (Trillion), nano (One billionth), and pico (One trillionth) (C'mon guys a nanobyte doesn't exist).

How to pronounce Giga?
My guess is that “Giga” is a prefix, not an actual word, and text-to-speech isn't meant to recognize prefixes by themselves, so it thinks it's a made up word. It's like if you put the prefix “bi” into text-to-speech, and it pronounced it “bih” (as in “bit”), that technically wouldn't be wrong because it's not an actual word.bringing this up, google and text2speech disagree… Edit: text to speech calls it gee-gah but google calls it gih-gah. No J though.
The wiki says that Giga is named after the prefix, and if you put a word starting with giga- (such as gigabyte) into text-to-speech, it pronounces it “gih-guh”. That's also how Wikipedia says the prefix is pronounced. So I think that would be the correct way to pronounce it.
However, if you really want to pronounce Giga's name “gee-guh” in your projects, no rules stop you from doing that.

(#19)I think this is an example of words having different pronunciations.
