As a colorblind person, I can't see links
It's hard to explain color to people who can, so I lowered the saturation to try to show you that the purple color is too dark and does not contrast enough with the regular gray text. I can still tell what's a link and what's not after being on here for 8 years, but it's very hard for me to tell because–if taken away the color and set everything to 0 saturation–you can see that both colors have almost exactly the same saturation levels, making it harder for blue-purple colorblind people like me to use Scratch.

Your actually color blind? Huh, that is interesting. They are working on other themes in the near future, but that rings the bell. Anyways What colors can work for you Moose?

That is pretty sad, and I can see how hard it must be. What color does it have to be to make it easier for you to see?

Links should be darker or lighter depends on the normal text.

I only have trouble with blues, purples, and different brightesses of them like black, gray, whites. Literally any other color is better or having EITHER the blue or the purple darker/lighter than the other one.

I tried by setting the saturation on my device to 0, and you are right. The purple links are a dark gray. (Even though you maybe/probably/can have a different variant of colorblindness.

Yeah, it sucks since this update was supposed to HELP people who have trouble with colors. I only have trouble with blues, purples, and different brightesses of them like black, gray, whites. Huh never thought things turn out to be this way for color blind people with purple/blue. I am going to probably get a moderator attention as the update was supposed to help with vision impairment.Your actually color blind? Huh, that is interesting. the irony though
This one (I got this with forbidden word since the forbidden word update broke my 2.0 page colors and made the follow discussion button lighter)?

Personally I find both of those readable, and I am colorblind. It is bad news to hear that the accessibility changes have lowered the accessibility for some people though. I made a project about the changes focused at people who are mainly complaining about change, but the accessibility issues are a bit more concerning.
On a white background, wouldn't a darker color be more readable? So, wouldn't purple here there? I am confused on what makes blue more readable for you. But do tell me.

so, basically, the accessibility would have helped a lot more if it was, like, orange or something? That is pretty sad, and I can see how hard it must be. What color does it have to be to make it easier for you to see?

Then again another color blindness would have been affected and most color blind people have trouble with red/green that's the real problem.so, basically, the accessibility would have helped a lot more if it was, like, orange or something? That is pretty sad, and I can see how hard it must be. But purple isn't just a color picked at random. The Scratch Team says research shows it is an accessible color schema. As for whether that's true or not- I don't know, I am not a color expert. But people should not act like they just arbitrarily chose purple.

The Scratch Team probably thought about the purple/white contrast and the matching color scheme — and unfortunately missed the purple/black contrast. I don't think we were expecting links to turn purple; it looks cool for sure, but perhaps not the best for vision-friendliness.
