Because beginners to Scratch feel that they get popular, motivating them to continue this activity while also motivating them to continue Scratch, not many realize that they aren't “real” followers…

Some people do follow for follow to become Scratch friends..like me and rubyelsa.

F4F is just ‘hey can i hav fame m8 plez follo mee"
It’s not a cheat, you just gain a ‘dead’ follow. (They won't care about what you do, they just want your follow.)

Well, to some people it isnt. For some, fame can be a motivation, for others the whole point being on scratch…

Some people think they're cool if they have tons of followers. It's something almost as old as the internet.

I don't know I'm not them. Also the last time I saw someone protest F4F saying about that was like almost a year ago.

Some do it so that other people will see in their Whats Happening? that the person have shared a project, then the viewer will click on the link to the project and check it out. Cos if you're a new Scratcher and no one even bothers to look at what you've done, it's really no fun cos it's just you and yourself. When Scratch is supposed to be inclusive and all.
