By pressing the following button combinations, the 3DS can start differently

A + B + X + Y + R - Automatically runs inserted 3DS game card. Console must not be setup
L + R + X - Calibrate touchscreen
L + R + Y - Calibrate circle pad
Start + Select + X - Boot firmware from Nintendo DS game card. Lid must be closed (or the sensor must be tricked) for this to work. Does not work with retail game cards
L + R + B + Down - Delete Home Menu management information. Crashes on custom firmware
A + L + R + Up - Loads safe mode system update

Some of these seem to be inherited from the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi

Test how good your computer is at doing math. 3DS and Wii U online after shutdown.

I don't know about the Home Menu one (never used it) or the Start+select+x one (I don't have a card that will work), but the others are fine

i will write it as a sticky note on my 3ds in case my system bricks (i have a hard time remembering things)

Yes ive had it since around 2015-2016. Played it so much in airports, car rides, bus trips, road trips, plane rides, playgrounds, after school classes, after school care, grandparents houses, relatives houses, friends houses, the bathroom, basically everywhere.
Stopped playing on it around 2020-2021, but thanks to this forum i play it a lot more and started getting a lot of good games for ds especially!
btw my most played game was mario party star rush (i was a stupid kid ok)

Yeah, for some games you can't really buy anymore. Why I don't mod it is because it can brick your console if you update it

there is literally almost no way to brick a modded 3ds unless you are trying to or delete critical files (like the Luma3DS or Boot9Strap files)

Also all you need to do is download the Latest Luma3DS version and then you are safe from a brick

(oh and you can also get any game you want for free with a modded 3ds so mod it because its super easy and only takes less than half an hour)

If I can make a suggestion, get one of the 3ds xls (o3ds or n3ds it doesnt really matter)
It was harder for me to play when i was younger but now that im older and i have big hands its way more comfortable for me than 2ds, 3ds, n3ds, etc.

Internet Browser with 1331 hours and 46 minutes
Super Mario Maker is 2nd with 267:54, followed by Mario Kart 7 with 232:51 and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team with 41:40 (I got that game much later)
By play frequency, it's Intermet Browser (868), Mario Kart 7 (314), System Settings (245), and Super Mario Maker (240)
Apparently I played Yoshi's New Island once for almost 3 hours. I don't remember ever having that game, might have been a rental
