Maybe not since this is kind of a copyright law and scratch does not contain anything related to copyright infringement that it can remove your project.

When people put music on a monetized (uses ads, paid subscriptions, etc) streaming platform, they expect it to be viewed via the platform and that the parties involved receive monetary compensation, not just credit. Consuming the content without the agreed upon compensation ruins it for everybody, hence the laws against it.

This feature won't happen, as YouTube is not designed for downloading mp3s off of it, and the agreements YouTube reaches with those who upload to the site don't include such actions.

Semi-support.

Why I support:

1) Even though it's not legally okay, I personally think it's morally okay as youtube is much like Scratch in the regards of that when you upload something there you're basically allowing people to use it however you wish (with exceptions like big musicians)

2) It could help avoid people having to see NSFW advertisements, malware, etc.

Why I do not support:

1) Before I knew about the existence of this FOSS program called “ClipGrab” (which uses youtube-dlp btw so it's perfectly safe), I had to risk my computer in-order to download a single mp3 file.
