Very Old Versions of Scratch
Here you go, for those who don't know how to get all of the older versions of scratch:
https://scratcharchive.naleksuh.com/
Every version from 0.1 to the 2.X October 12 2011 update. (You have to download the 2.X images and run it on a flash emulator for it to work, as it doesn't work on the site itself.)
The site has a system where you can save your projects to your local server on the site.

Very Old Versions of Scratch
In the old dev versions, instead of broadcasts there were custom blocks, except sprites could run custom blocks belonging to another sprite. This acted as a sort of method call, but the receiver was hardcoded so there was no dynamism.
Broadcasts were the solution they went with, but they also considered adding sprite references for that dynamism. This means there's an alternate universe where Scratch is fully OO with methods and sprite references.

Yes! These features were tested in seminars with various MIT and Harvard students throughout late 2003 and early 2004, but were later decided to be removed, as no global scripting (solved by creating a “Background” object), multiple object types (sprite, sound, image box, and later, sensor board), and inter-object script invocation (later re-implemented as broadcasts) were deemed to be “making it difficult to support the free-form object exchange that we envision for Scratch.” (Source: pg. 5, Scratch Sneak Preview, Jan. 30, 2004)

Very Old Versions of Scratch
when was the point away from edge block removed?I’m going to edit this when I find which one is the latest I have with the block.
Edit: The latest version I have seems to be “26Jun06”, while “27Jul06” doesn't have it.

It's cool to see some with a different green flag. (Example: 04Apr05i)
