My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 113.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

When you use the square brackets, DjangoBB automatically turns it out into a “blank” space, it also happens with text inside.
Since DjangoBB is open source, checking if the word inside the brackets it's valid BBCode or not would be quite easy to do.

if someone could link the file to the “New Topic” menu, i would be very grateful.

This isn’t a bug, it’s quite literally how bbcode works

I know, but the fact that you can't use square brackets is annoying. I'm just suggesting that they change the BBCode system so that the text inside the brackets is only deleted if it's a valid BBCode tag.

Good idea, but for some reason it seems like the ST hasn't updated BBCode in a LONG time.

You can use square brackets:
[[]]
[[]text in square brackets]
[]
[text in square brackets]

To use square brackets, you can use the “code” and “/code” blocks.

For those who are confused, I was just testing this out. Please ignore that post.
