- congratulations on your graduation! high school is a big shift (for me at least), but you'll do great :]
- drawing parts of the story sounds cool! it reminds me a bit of a visual novel
- soul fire :star_struck: i love the aesthetic of blue fire, and the ancient greek theme works well too! reminds me of disney's hades
- ancient greek would also work really well w codenames bc their mythology is so extensive. it'd also be a good way to hint at the campers who look it up ; )

1) yes

1) ACTUALLY I LIKE THAT IDEA WAY MORE- LETS DO THAT (You can be the traitor sparkle sparkle)

2) I imagine the library to have two floors, the bottom/main level being one giant room. Maybe our word count groups can be ‘upstairs’ (which could have two ‘rooms’). One room could be like a combat room and the other could be a research room?

Alright sorry for the late reply, I overslept yesterday and my mom decided to take my devices (I have an iron deficiency and I told her I was out and she didn't get me more iron supplements until yesterday)–I hopefully will get them back by July. I can be on my computer to do school work and Duolingo and when she isn't home I can be on scratch and stuff like that (hence why I am on right now).

I need you to come up with clues to lead to you, 8 clues to be specific.

Intro idea:

It’s July 1st at 12:39. You just received a small black box. There are no markings on it, no stamps, no nothing, just a drawing of a book in bright teal ink. Curious, you open it. Inside is a white index card that says ‘13:15, July 1st, do not tell a single soul’ and a black and light teal GPS device with directions to a location already loaded into it. You pocket the note and grab your bag before following the GPS directions into the woods. After about 25 minutes of walking, you make it to the location. Oddly enough, it is just a boulder. You look around and see a few other campers, carrying the same devices and wearing the same confused expression as you.
All of a sudden, the ground opens beneath you. Two figures with teal laurel wreaths on their heads walk up the staircase now revealed by the ground opening.
“Ah, you guys are early,” The dark-haired one remarks. “That’s good, we all know you guys are serious about this.”
The blonde continues, “You guys are probably wondering what this is all about. Follow us.” The two usher you and the other campers down the stairs. After weaving through a myriad of hallways, you all reach a pair of heavy doors. The two figures open them and everyone enters.
“Fi and I Welcome to the Underground Anarchist Library,” The blonde spins around and holds their arms out as if to present it in a dramatic way.
The dark-haired out, who you conclude is Fi, “See, Ilya and I decided you all have the qualities we desire to have in this underground syndicate-like group.”
“So, what do you-” Ilya is cut off by the sound of the large doors locking echo throughout the room and then a familiar voice of one of the hosts.
“You really thought you could get away with this? You have until July 25th to find all the keys or else,” The voice booms from the other side of the doors. “You can thank a leadership team member for spilling the secret of this library.”

Volunteers:

I think we could just give the leader team a heads up that campers may come to their profile and ask if it's them and having them just say ‘no’ instead of asking for volunteers since it's a bit late to ask now.

Illustration aspect:
We could have a project where a drawing of a new key gets added every time a key is earned. Maybe for clues you can come up with 8 broad details about yourself when individually, it wouldn't be obvious it is you but when put all together, it makes sense it is you while still being slightly cryptic. Then I can draw these little details onto a map-like thing and every time a new clue is earned, we can update the project to have another part of the map/puzzle thing

edit: oh yeah, we are really late on our MB theme so any greek mythological animal is fine ig

and as for codenames, you can come up with your own but I'll be theseus :)

so would i go from broad to specific in my clues? ex. the first one could be “is part of the swc leadership team” (which is already given so maybe something else but equally broad?), then “has been in x number of cabins” (could be misleading bc i've been in the same cabin multiple times ; )), etc etc? so by the end, it'd be obvious it's me?

woahh, that illustration idea sounds so good!! :0 we should probably explain in the description that the campers will be trying to find the traitor so they let them out, right?

some animal suggestions are the sphinx (which is indeed a greek creature! i think it'd be good bc of the riddles required to pass, which is similar to our plot) and cerberus (guards the gates of the underworld = traitor “guards” the way out?). idk if either of those have been chosen yet, though. :person_shrugging:

finished my clues! although i can think of others if i need to change any of them : D i have a number in parentheses afterward that indicates how many people it applies to (of the leadership team)

4. they have placed in the writing competition more than once (15)
5. they have never led a cabin (19)
6. they use more than one set of pronouns (ex. she/they) (14)
