I been wonder how to make the sprite in letter move independently without making other sprite? It would be helpful if there was a way because I'm just a beginner and currently my school want me to do a project call Animate name. It require the following stuff

• Create the letters of your first name.
  Change the color of the letter
  Have the letters move independently from one another
  Show program
  

I know how to do some of them but not really the moving part

I think I would start by adding one letter sprite to your project. Then play around with the commands under Motion and Looks to start getting an idea of what they do. Work on getting the letter to move and show and hide, and change size. You can try each thing out by dragging it into the editor window and clicking on it. If you right click on an item you can get help which will explain a little about how to use it. Scratch is neat because you can learn a lot just playing around with it.

I suggest you use

glide (1) secs to x: (0) y: (0)

to move the letters around after they appear.

You do either need separate sprites or clones to move them independently
