The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
2.4 Revert back to older versions of the Scratch editorI’d suggest changing this a little:
The Scratch editor has to update sometimes to accommodate certain changes. In particular, an online editor that ran off of Adobe Flash (rather than Java) was added in the Scratch 2.0 editor, and the Scratch 3.0 editor was created for tablet support and in anticipation of the discontinuation of Flash. Changing the editor back to these older versions would not only undo years of hard work by the Scratch Team, but they also might not work online anymore. If you wish, you can download the Scratch 1.4 and Scratch 2.0 offline editors.
The Scratch Team is still working on bug fixes, new features, and other improvements on the Scratch 3.0 editor. The new interface was created in such a way that it is easy for the Scratch Team to keep working on improvements. The Scratch Team will continue to evaluate constructive feedback on how they could improve upon the current Scratch editor.
-Scratch 3.0 was made to take advantage of JavaScript, and development began before Adobe even announced Flash was to be discontinued, right?
-3.0 uses JavaScript, not Java. They’re really different.(unless you meant 1.x, which it used Squeak, which might have been Java, but I think it was JavaScript)

Also, Squeak was an implementation of something called Smalltalk
Also, yeah. Development on 3.0 started in 2016, and Adobe Flash announced to be discontinued in 2017.

Why do they have ScratchJR and the mobile app on Android tablets then?(#7299)no its accepted they are making a mobile appthats rejected fullysay [make mobile app] for (forever) secs
Excuse me? Did you not read TOLORS? THIS IS FULLY REJECTED BY ST
King of the page (I am so good at getting this role ngl).
Because they don't allow users to change the code, and they just make the scripts. Apple is very strict with their App Store poilcy when it comes to programs and coding languages like Scratch.

I still don't understand how ST thinks this is a bad idea, and why it's rejected by them to revert to the older editor anyway.

2.0 used Flash, discontinued so you need an extension to support it which they don’t allow the mentioning of anyways, and 1.x used Squeak. Those are either deprecated or tough to implement in the browser well enough to even attempt support.I saw it a few months ago, before i know how websites work, and assumed that Java is what it uses. No, it doesn't support AS3 is what I mean, so you have to download Flash (either by disabling the timebomb or the latest version without the timebomb).I’m not referencing the Scratch extension, i mean a general browser extension.2.0 used Flash, discontinued so you need an extension to support it which they don’t allow the mentioning of anyways, and 1.x used Squeak. Ah, okay. Now it's starting to make sense to me. So ST thought that it would be very tough to implement on limited resourced I guess? That's fair, but still it would be pretty neat to have it implemented subsided.

Kinda. The big issue is Flash is not officially supported anymore.2.0 used Flash, discontinued so you need an extension to support it which they don’t allow the mentioning of anyways, and 1.x used Squeak. There is a copyright symbol that makes sure something that you create isn’t stolen or copyright claimed.
