Tell me why this is happening?

If you are taking a sound from another sprites code, you'll have to go into the sprite you are taking the code from, go into sounds take the sound you want and put it in your backpack then bring it back and put it in your sprite. Thats the only reason that I know why, or you had your elbow on the sound off button.

I put in this script in one sprite and my body was off the mute button:

when green flag clicked
play sound [ Sound]

Please answer all these questions.
1. Does the length of the sound go to 0:00?
2. Are you pressing control/command when clicking the green flag if you are online?
3. Are you using 2.0, 3.0, or TurboWarp?
4. What is the value of the volume block (in the sprite you're using)?
5. Is the tab muted if you are online?
6. What is the volume on your computer?
7. Are you using any browser extensions for Scratch (DO NOT NAME THEM)?

What's your browser/OS? This has been an issue for a long time (3 weeks). The only workaround is by TurboWarp or wait it out.

When it happens to me, the sound length goes to 0:00 and there is no sound whatsoever. It doesn't happen with just my projects either.

Dumb fix, import file to scratch 1.4/2.0, put the 1.4/2.0 project in scratch 3.0, then backpack the audio file.

I think the if you have multiple songs inside one file it'll add up and become past the scratch mb limit so maybe put the songs in separate files? idk i'm trying to help out

Same prob w/ me. It's happened multiple times on one project, I replace the audio file and later when I close and open project again audio file is gone. Interestingly, it's in a sprite with 3 other sounds and the only one getting deleted is the one. (It's 240.04 which may be an issue.)

Edit: The sound file doesn't exceed the maximum, this is worth mentioning. It's for this reason I always use .mp3s.
