Are adults allowed to interact with others on Scratch?
Someone recently had an argument with me off-site over how adults shouldn't talk with kids(which is why I'm asking).
I've made many friends over the years, of varying age groups both on Scratch and other sites. And I just turned 18 in April, but some of my friends haven't.
And knowing how most Scratch users are minors, it can be a bit difficult to find adults here.
I have other websites(where you're more likely to find adults), but Scratch is one of my favorites and has the most sentimental value to me, as I've made so many friends and learned a lot about digital art here, and I can't dream of letting it go.
Do I have to leave the website because there are seemingly not many adults here, and that I'm apparently not allowed to have friends that aren't adults?
(If you ask, I do not wish to do bad things with minors, I still feel uncomfortable thinking of said things, even as an adult. I still follow common rules on internet safety, and I make sure to respect societal and personal boundaries.)

Yes, adults are allowed to interact with children on Scratch. Scratch welcomes people of all ages. It's also against the rules to exclude people based on their age, so if you see someone saying that adults aren't allowed, report the comment.

I've been an adult using Scratch for about 5 years now. I haven't been banned yet!

Saying adults shouldn't talk with kids is very weird. What about parents? Are they just not supposed to talk to their kids? What about teachers? How can they teach if they can't talk to kids? If a kid gets lost in a city, should they just be completely ignored because adults can't talk to kids? The list goes on.
So yes. Kids can talk to adults and adults can talk to kids.
So yes. Kids can talk to adults and adults can talk to kids.

Well, adults can talk to kids as long as it’s not in a community guidelines breaking or illegal way. They shouldn’t be excluding people just because they’re an adult or any age.

Yes. I hate it when people just assume that when an adult is talking to a kid, that it is automatically really creepy. For example, the ENTIRE Scratch Team are adults.

Unless the adult is behaving weird, it’s completely allowed for them to talk to younger people. Like, I’m 11, and I’ve talked to people much older than me on this site. It’s not a big deal.
Just follow CG and don’t be illegal
