Usually the person that initially made the post doesn't need help with the topic anymore. People that necropost usually end up at the bottom of the page and other people try and respond to the original post, and ignore the necroposter. It just causes confusion that is much more simple if someone that needs help just makes their own topic.

Most of the time, necroposted topics are resolved and/or irrelevant in today's terms. When someone necroposts, it clogs up the first page with resolved and outdated topics that are no longer relevant, taking attention away from newer, more relevant topics.

Necroposting is bad because it brings up posts that have been dead for a long time, which can clog up the forums homepage, shoving away new form posts that are being made everyday.

An example of this is say Scratcher A makes a forum post in QaS because they need help importing sounds but Scratcher B decides to post on a dead topic from 2015, which doing this results in Scratcher A's forum post to be shoved away because the topic that was dead for a while was brought back up.

Older, non-relevant posts will be sent back to the top. If it's not actively being discussed, it's not relevant.

i’m not completely sure but i know it gets back to the top and clogs the page. also google can help with this question.
