Hi, I'm doing a story on Scratch for school. I was just wondering…is it possible to download a song on YouTube and then upload it on the ‘Sounds’ tab to use it in the Story?

You have to first use an external site to download the YouTube video as an MP3 which you can then import into your Scratch project.

You can use a site that offers the ability to download the videos into MP3 video formats. Then after that you can go to a site that allow you to change the MP3 into a WAV file so you can use it on scratch.

There is no way to do this outside of using other sites.

VLC Media Player has a way to play YouTube videos from a link using a Network Stream, and you can use the Codec information to download it without an external website.
