Kris probably knows how to use it if they have a knife. Also, are we talking about Neutral or Geno route Frisk, because that could make a difference. But I'd think if Kris has the knife and uses it to open a fountain at the end of Chapter 2, they must know at least the basics of knife combat.

I discovered undertale first by watching DanTDM's first letsplay video on it, years later I remember it at the age of… Idk probably 7 and I watched it and later played undertale, completed pacifist and am currently trying genocide route
Edit: it was his first live stream on it my bad, but it wasnt live while I watched it

I discovered undertale first, but got deltarune becuase it was free, and because undertale looked like it had less detail (which isn't true). I thought that AU's were other games also released by toby, and when I played deltarune, I actually thought that lancer was the AU version of sans!

if the player isnt controlling either one, kris would destroy frisk. but frisk would just keep coming back and eventually win. if the player controls kris, then kris will most likely screw frisk up. and if the player controls frisk. frisk would win. therefore, kris would win (in most scenerios)
