In my opinion, it's just another Hollywood-like video game movie. You could tell it was going to flop when neither of the mario bros had italian accents, or toad not having a high pitched, croaky voice etc, but that's not the part I was concerned of.

Even as a slightly large fan of the series, it felt incomplete, there was something missing and I couldn't put my finger on it.

The translators for this movie have a skill issue in my opinion. They need 51 DAYS to translate a 1:50 hours long movie from ENGLISH to POLISH, and keep in mind they are professionalists. But, a group of 4 random underaged people on the internet was able to translate a 1:40 hours movie from JAPANESSE to POLISH in 1 WEEK with 100% TRANSLATION ACCURACY.

Yes because I've played it. You run around as Peach whacking goombas with a parasol that acts similarly to a Yoshi by consuming them and giving the energy of their life forces over to the princess to regain her health.

I'm honestly glad they didn't give them the normal voices, because like someone else said before. I'd get a headache watching jt if they had. (Also, the Super Show didn't have piercing voices and we liked that alright.) I like Charles Martinet Mario but, a little bit goes a long way.

I hope I like it, honestly, but I'll keep what you said in mind.
There just hasn't been a new movie that I've liked in a while and this might make me feel a little less like Hollywood doesn't completely suck-

Mario is Japanese. Even if he wasn't, it would be nice to see a different version of Mario, no matter how different. We've all grown up with the “italian plumber” Mario, and it would be nice to watch a movie with some change in his character.
