Yes and no. No because it could be used to find the average temperature and weather, and yes as it could be used to track a players location.

Yeah, ScratchX got closed down because it was basically 2.0 online at this point.

Okay, I was asking because of the video sensing extension (I didn't forget they moved it!!), which disables cloud variables from working.

Yes I know since they couldn't have added it if the website was already down at that point, but it wasn't actually added to Scratch.
Anyway, I'm not sure if it would be implemented because I believe I have seen topics about adding a weather extension, but they got closed.

That doesn't work well because you can't actually use ScratchX on the wayback machine on a lot of browsers it looks like (that or it takes years to load).
However, someone put it back up at idkthegithub.github.io/scratchx
