I see not many problems in the suggestion, it could help get mass reported projects just above the auto-takedown line, provided that a well-thought off limit is agreed upon. Eh:- +1 report every 500 followersWhy are scratchers ignoring my point of view….

I actually do see this being a somewhat beneficial feature for Scratch's future… …except that followers can't really confirm what said user creates.
From my standpoint, what people create does change on how many followers or views they have. There can be one figure that doesn't advertise their projects at all with no views or followers at all, but still portrays in the community, versus some person in the F4F community who had gained 30 followers in the past two days, collaborating with the other Scratch equally as much as the first figure.

No support because Scratch is already biased enough to big scratchers.

No support.
First, new scratchers will get mad
Second, trolls are gonna mass report new scratchers and just make them mad.

…I don't think projects should be automatically taken down by reports, I think they should just get taken dowwn by the scratch team, but you could have a filter to detect mass reports…
Why like that?
This makes sense as for example a scratcher with 0-20 followers should get it removed after 3 Reports while a Scratcher with 1000 followers would then easily get mass-reported and taken down. Now, you COULD say you should base it on views, but those are way easier to manipulate than follows.
Would 0 followers autotakedown projects?
No, as there is a standard number of 3 reports which is then increased by achieving more followers.
And… Equality?
Even though I don't think that the same ammout of reports to takedown a project for everyone is the best idea, because famous scratchers suffer from mass reporting and taking down a project goes with “just a few reports” goes too fast if you get so many views, an increased number of reports for everyone would make it harder to takedown inappropiate projects of unpopular scratchers which are not seen often. This suggestion would remove that everyone is treated equal in that case but in my opinion (and that's just a opinion) it's right.

insert op here
What if Griffpatch posted a project that breaks the community guidelines? How many reports would that have to be? (Keep in mind he has over 400k followers!)
Well, he does link YouTube.

Whatever the mass report threshold is now should be the minimum number of reports needed to take down a project, so that newbies don't get mass reported by trolls. After a certain follower count it could increase linearly as a fraction of your follower count.
Still, I wonder if this could be cheesed by people that do F4F.

Also, for F4Fers, well I actually am a bit unsure while I'd say that basing the system on views is too manipulatable and that I see there might be something with it, still we are talking about autotakedown and the ScratchTeam will (Ithink) check the reported project anyway and then takedown it. While I know that takes a few days which is bad.

No support, this will just get New Scratchers mad because it's easier to take down their projects.
In my opinion, the number of reports required to get a project taken down should be higher for all users, not just famous Scratchers.

No support, this will just get New Scratchers mad because it's easier to take down their projects. But making it just higher for everyone does not help removing inapropiate projects of unpopular users and just makes that harder… Like, there's for example many users accs just created for that purpose and it sometimes takes a few days for ST to take them down, without autotakedown… And I suggested like 3-4 reports for an user with 0-20 reports so, I think that's pretty enough for them.

Its just my opinion like everyone should have his own one.

Dynamically adjusting the number of reports needed for an automatic censor is an interesting concept, it'd be similar to a percentage requirement where a certain percentage of viewers would have to report the project. But wouldn't knowing about this drive people to pick up followers even more?
Also, let's be careful here - I feel like people with more followers are more likely to be able to spread inappropriate content effectively, so it is important that that content be taken down quickly. Balancing this may take a lot of effort.
There are probably other, better ways to address this, but this idea is a good starting point to build upon.

Me n the boiz, on the way to bot accounts to follow us, so they can’t mass report us, so we can scar some kiddos:
Sure, a human ST member will take down inappropriate content, but this is still important to remember.

It's also like that if that wasn't a thing then many more Scratchers had 1000 followers.

Support, if the Scratch Team would do a system like that:
first you need to get 500 followers to get another report needed to take down your project
then you twice as much, in this case 1000
then the pattern continues, with the next milestones being 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000, 32000, 64000, 128000, 256000, 512000, 1024000 etc.
This way super popular Scratchers don’t get taken down after only 3-4 reports, but they also get taken down after about 7-8 reports, and Griffpatch doesn’t need thousands of reports, but only 14.
