Ive been thinking about name snipes and 3 letter usernames and I was thinking, when will be run out of four letter usernames and what will happen then? The population of scratch is growing and with that, there is more accounts.

Well, there's about over 100,000+ combinations now so you can take one. But we are not sure when they'lll run out

That's fair. I was just curious considering I've been on scratch for around a year now and I've been name sniping for atleast 5 months. Thanks.

If my calculations are correct , I'm pretty sure it would be 28^4 = 614,656 combinations.
28 is from 26 characters in the English alphabet, as well as _ and - (which are 2 characters). 4, of course, is how many characters are in a four-letter username.
I'm not sure how many have already been taken.

Yes. If it happened with 3 character usernames it will happen with 4.

Eventually, there will probably be no four letter username left as the Scratch Community is growing. But not anytime soon

There are 2085136 possible 4 letter usernames, with 4408 being blocked because of the no no numbers, 72 because of a 3 letter no no word, 2 being blocked because of 4 letter no no words, and probably much more because of how many no no words there are.
But answering your question, we will at some point, but not anytime soon.
