I accidentally deleted an extremely important sprite in my project and it immediately autosaved. I looked up how to fix it and it said go to file and click revert, so i clicked out the project (i thought file was in “my stuff”) and now revert is grayed out. I can't just recreate the sprite, so how can I restore this?

Did you previously download the project, backpack the sprite, or anything along those lines, and what Scratch version was it created in?

If you haven't created a backup, then unfortunately there's no way to revert to a previous save. It's always a very good idea to regularly make backups by clicking File > Save as a copy. Then, if you accidentally delete something and it auto saves, you can go to the My Stuff page and go back to a previous version.

First rule of coding, if you're going to make big changes that might go wrong, and even sometimes if you're not… ALWAYS take a backup first!

Also, in the future, you can download projects by clicking “File”-> “Download to your computer”, and you can also backpack sprites to make sure this doesn't happen.
Though honestly, I wish they made that delete button smaller again or moved it back to right click or added some sort of confirmation for it.
