yep i have a question, how much would jewels be worth this session?

I was thinking about making jewels worth more this session, because typically big numbers = people get excited
For reference the weekly is 3k jewels, I think? So depending on how much work, a daily could be around 200 is jewels?

aah yes i agree XD when are the dailies due by, and are the hosts creating the weeklies?

so my ideas for the weeklies would be:

weekly 1 (waterfall did it?) : music+songwriting
what waterfall did i guess?

weekly 2: self-care+visual arts+poetry
they can take time to reflect on something good that's happened in their life, make a list of things they're grateful for, set goals, journal, or whatever, then write a piece of poetry or piece of abstract art that shows what went through they're mind while doing the process

weekly 3: reading+coding+writing+visual arts (eeee i really want to include coding ^^)
they can go on an “adventure in the mountains”. the first part could be looking at a book for interest about how adventure's go, how betrayers are found, whatever, and then write a small script on that, then they will make a simple or complex project following a possible tutorial on how to code their adventure world?

weekly 4: collaboration where 2 people from different areas have to work together?
i think this is hard to maintain as people aren't going to be as motivated on tc as say swc, so consistent collaboration is pretty hard to manage.

weekly three could start with they having to read 2-3 chapters of an adventure book.. I'm not sure about weekly four though-

Okay, so what we seem to have established so far:

Weekly 1: I made one on music that also includes art and writing

Weekly 2: Some kind of self care and relaxation weekly including these parts: Reflecting on good parts of their life, visual arts, poetry, maybe trying meditiation? I think we could add reading to this weekly.

My other weekly ideas:
- I think it was ashlee (?) who mentioned coding, that's a great idea since we haven't incorporated any of that yet,
- Maybe something sports/physical related? We also haven't done a lot of that.
- For the final weekly, maybe we should try to combine them all and do like a word crawl that's more like an activity crawl - where you do something for
each of the goals?

I think maybe the sports/physical things could be incorporated in the self care weekly? Mainly because it might be hard to come up with, like, four parts of just sports and it might get tiring. Idk, just a thought

Oh and if we need any project or coding stuff for weeklies or dailies, I'm open to helping with it :0

ooohhh i forget what a word crawl or activity crawl is but a remember last session there were around 6 options that centered different subjects and you had to do 5 of them to earn jewels
yep i mentioned the coding D i'd be really excited to try that because all though scratch is great for socializing, coding was what it's platform was base upon so that would be really cool i'd be up for making a simple tutorial!
YES sports/physical activity would be great because these days i'm always stuck indoors!
weekly 2 would be great

so here are my updated ideas:

weekly one : music and songwriting and art waterfall did it) i suggest we don't need to add music again for the other weeklies

weekly two : meditation (physical a bit), goal-setting, reflecting, poetry, reading, visual arts (woah that's a lot)
- practice meditation and go with methods that work with you for at least 10 minutes, try to make sure noise isn't surrounding you and find a quiet place
- set a goal for yourself, a reachable one (someone could make a project on goals and which ones are long distance, short distance, working-upons, etc) using good things that have happened in your life and reflection upon those things. make sure you put thought into it as it will be 1 goal.
- write a list about 20 things you felt during this process (listing would be good for organization?)
- now, spend 20 minutes working towards that goal that you set for yourself
- how did this make you feel? are you closer to reaching your goal? did this help with the goal you've set for camp tropiland before?

weekly three : adventure in the mountains! we could add physical activity to this because it's an adventure! it's a story as well so that's also really cool, and coding would go well with this i'd be interested in helping with this weekly
- read 2 to 3 chapters of an adventure book
- write a script at least 600 words long including small physical activity tasks?
- code a world (you can use the help of a tutorial) of your adventure place
- write an essay at least 200 words long on what was challenging and what was easy for you, and the experience overall (reflection pieces?)

weekly four : i had this idea of a choiceboard, i guess that would be what i would call it. there are plenty of topics we wouldn't be able to cover and so i thought we could put these into the fourth weekly, where people have a free chance to explore what they already have interest with, as well as work with things that they haven't done before. examples could include a presentation, a research project about history, an artistic scene made out of deeper meanings, and such. workshops could be given for this weekly ^^

okay so i wrote all of this down when i felt like it so this is kind of a mess ^^'

WORKSHOPS WOULD BE SO COOL THIS SESSION BECAUSE GOALS
AND MORE GOALS
AND EXPLORING
AND FINDING
AND CREATING
AND INTERACTING
AND HELPING PEOPLE
AND WORKING TOGETHER
AND REACHING OUT TO PEOPLE
AND SEEKING HELP
AND YEAH

and also weekly purposes i guess weekly one is already done (i didn't read the entire things so i'll do that later)
weekly 2 could have a workshop on goal setting
weekly 3 could have a workshop or two on creating a world and coding
weekly 4 could have multiple workshops that could be short and easy or optional workshops if we're doing the choiceboard suggestion

for weekly two, at the end we could have people make a piece of art, write a paragraph/poem or something to like express how they felt after doing the meditation and stuff. also i think listing 20 things might be a little too much? we might wanna lower it.

for weekly three, i love the idea!! since its like a special one, we could switch it and make it be the fourth one, kind of how in swc the last weekly is generally project-based. just a suggestion :0 and the adventure world thingy, would it be like a CYOA (choose your own adventure)? oh and i'd like to help with this one as well :>

anddd weekly four! i'm not really sure what you mean by a choice board gkdkg

maybe we could lower it to 5 things? then that would be cool for them to have a choice between art, and poem, or something of free form.

weekly 3: switching it to weekly four sounds good the adventure thing was taken by kora's idea of an adventure in the mountains, so i assume it wasn't choose your own adventure? it was more of a project based on a mountain range.

so choice board would be many options and you have to do at least a certain amount of them to get jewels. example : the theme is uhm pizza :

choice 1 : cook pizza
choice 2 : draw pizza
choice 3 : express love to pizza
choice 4 : be a pizza
choice 5 : say pizza
choice 6 : eat pizza

you have to do at least 3 of these choices to earn 2000 jewels

no exactly how it works but that's a basic idea ^^

ashlee + energy = genius

I really like the idea of a choice board, but maybe we should expand on that more

and yes, workshops would be amazing! We have to figure out how we're going to organize them into topics and people and stuff soo

and cami I have nothing against a pizza daily ;)

genius - energy = ashlee (hmm wait that sounds pessimistic and not what i was going for :p GUYS I SWEAR I HAVE ENERGY)

ooh yes :0 do you have any ideas on how we can improve the choiceboard? i was thinking of an overall theme for the entire choiceboard (uhm but maybe not pizza)

workshops :0 yay! okay let's start right away D (uhm or we can wait?)

WEEKLY 1 : MUSIC
no workshops? finished weekly link : posted by waterfall
jewel count :

WEEKLY 2 : SELF CARE
goal setting (organization) : @someone
meditation and calmness practice (self care) : @someone
abstract forms of expression (research and visual-ish art) : @someone
finished weekly link : posted by @someone
estimated jewel count :

WEEKLY 3 : CHOICEBOARD? (something could go with each of the options unless too many workshops and overcrowded time loads)
something (what it helps them with) : @someone
something (what it helps them with): @someone
something (what it helps them with): @someone
finished weekly link : posted by @someone
estimated jewel count :

WEEKLY 4 : ADVENTURE TIME
how to imagine an adventure world (planning) : @someone
how to write a script (writing) : @someone
how to code the characters and dialogue (coding) : @someone
how to code the movement of the screen and exploration (coding) : @someone
finished weekly link : posted by @someone
estimated jewel count :

(try to keep it simply in one direction, and the tutorial easy to follow up on, because people come from different levels of coding skills ^^)

please comment below if you want anything changed or are interested in being an @someone and for which topic! i hope everyone will be okay with creating at least 1 workshop or contributing to the weeklies
