one of the most annoying downsides in scratch to me is to have to break a video into a gif. (and sometimes the music) before uploading it to scratch. So, I really suggest that the scratch team try to implement/add the ability to insert videos to scratch by just pressing the import button, and selecting the video. Then, the video will be breaked apart into some costumes (like a gif.) and the music allready added to the sound part. So the movie could be played in a scratch project. I've managed to make one project using an application to turn the video into a gif. Here's the link if you want to see it:

I support, plus, to make things easier it can also just instantly grab a video from youtube without saving or doing anything just press import video then click youtube then search what you wanted so yeah that's a great idea your gonna have plenty of supporters!

I don't support because scratch is about creating and programming. I also don't support getting videos from youtube because people could get inappropriate videos.

Well you can really easily import an inappropriate video into scratch causing major problems. Also, you are meant to make your own animations! I don't remember if the sticky says your not allowed to suggest this stuff, but I believe it is. Let's just stick to making our own animations, gifs, etc.

Yeah, scratch is not youtube. However, scratch is also made to show and make animations. So you could still say that it is a place where you share projects, like Youtube, where in this case, where you share videos. Still, Scratch is made specifically for young kids, so it must be kid-friendly, and easy to use and understand. Scratch had been equipped with a filterbot recently, which helps filter good things from the bad. It could help separate what's good and what's bad. It's now all in you. You have the decision. (When some of you said that you gave no support and blamed me for, well, bad, I felt unwell. It burned and hurted me, and I felt like it was better for me to leave scratch. I'm very sensitive you know. You should be more carefull with people you don't know. Don't overestimate others, nor underestimate others.)
